the targeting: validation of Team for the Planet scope of action higher than 90% => 0,5 point + innovation level of maturity is enough => 0,5 point
social acceptability: semantic analysis score of comments > 0 => 0,5 point/ if > 3500 => 1 point

What is the issue addressed?

93% of buildings need to change their heating solutions, and there is yet no economical and low-carbon solution for abandoning oil, gas, or electric heating.

How is the problem solved?

Arkeon has developed and patented a new intelligent heat pump architecture (the Smart HP) which is 80% more efficient, finally offering an efficient alternative to high-efficiency gas boilers and all-electric buildings.

What is the customer target?

93% of buildings worldwide need to change their heating solution to eliminate gas, oil, coal, and all-electricity systems. The Smart HP is the first truly low-carbon solution available. 2023: renovation of collective housing (landlords, condominium managers, professional managers, and installers of heating systems) 2025: public and tertiary buildings and international development 2027: new buildings

How is this solution different?

The Smart HP halves the heating bill and reduces CO2 emissions by 94% compared to oil, 90% compared to gas, and 62% compared to electric heating. Potential impact: 10% of total CO2 emissions in Europe.

L'avis général est très positif. Les membres de notre Comité scientifique ont mis en avant l'importance du besoin de réduction d'émissions des systèmes de chauffage et de climatisation des bâtiments pour la décarbonation du secteur. La solution d’ARKEON permet d’y apporter une réponse pertinente, sans verrou technologique majeur et dans un cadre réglementaire et de marché très favorable. En matière d’externalités, l’innovation ne présente pas d’effet négatif notable. Enfin, les membres du Comité ont mis en avant les points à suivre de près lors du développement de la solution : - l’appréciation plus fine du cycle de vie du dispositif ; - la capacité à passer à l’échelle sur le plan industriel ; - les externalités pouvant ralentir son déploiement (notamment la pénurie de techniciens).
